UCSF- East Africa -working page
Cross-campus discussions and an international strategic retreat spearheaded by CFAR and Global Health Sciences highlighted the need to facilitate communication, linkages, and resource-sharing across UCSF- affiliated research groups collaborating in East Africa. UC San Francisco-Gladstone Institutes Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Responded to this need by launching the UCSF -East Africa Regional Office. This page is a communication tool to keep our activities transparent. We hope to see you!
Kampala-based CFAR Research Coordinator for Uganda Stefanie Sowinski PhD provides critical support coordinating UCSF-affiliated research groups with projects in Uganda while promoting opportunities to share expertise and use of core equipment (bio-banking, experimental standards etc).
